'FORCES AND MOMENTUM REVISION KS3'

Hi everyone! This a 2 part video. Part A is a revision video on forces and momentum and the equations you will need to calculate both. Part B looks at how forces and momentum are at work during a glider flight. At the end of the video there are tasks specific to years 7, 8 and 9. Many thanks to the Wrekin Glider Club for all their help.

flatfish: This is a truly awful video by someone who doesn't have the first idea of how a glider flies. The use of a paper aeroplane at the beginning to illustrate momentum is confused by the aerodynamic forces on it which are not mentioned- let alone the fact the dart was in ballistic flight and not gliding when thrown.nThe important learning points in gliding flight are around lift to glide ratio, and the way the glide slope allows the glider to travel in a straight line at a steady speed with balance...
Rocket Star: Thought this was very well presented (even though it was a little too long at the end). I will use the first half of this in my lessons (along with another film on here). The idea of teaming up with a glider club was brilliant. Bet you had lots of fun making it. Well done!
